KAH Tequila Anejo

Produced in a town called Tequila in Jalisco, Mexico this 100% Blue Water Agave Anejo Tequila is aged 1 year in American Oak. “KAH” means life in the ancient Mayan language and it is said that when the bottle is full KAH is alive.  The decorative bottle is branded around the holiday Día de Muertos or Day of the Dead which falls on November 1st and 2nd.  Each ceramic bottle is beautifully hand painted with sugar skulls.

KAH Tequila Anejo has a nice agave sweetness and notes of hazelnut, coffee and vanilla.  It’s medium bodied with hints of tobacco and white pepper.  You can usually find a 750 ml bottle between $59.99-$69.99

What should you mix with KAH Tequila Anejo?

Bone-Chilling Blackberry Margarita

  • 2oz Tequila
  • .75oz Cointreau
  • .75oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 5-6 Large Blackberries
  • .5oz Agave

Directions: Muddle 4-5 blackberries in cocktail shaker. Add the remaining ingredients to shaker and add ice. Shake and double strain into margarita glass.  Serve straight up or over ice and garnish with remaining blackberries. Optional: Add a black sea salt rim!

Other Variations: Swap out tequila for mezcal to make a smoky alternative. You can also muddle some fresh herbs like sage, rosemary or thyme to give the cocktail a slightly more complex and earthy flavor. Adjust the amount of agave for a sweeter or more tart cocktail.  Don't have cointreau? Any orange liquor such as triple sec will do!

Need an idea for your next ghostly gathering?

Mummy Ale

  • 12 oz Ale
  • 1oz Créme de Cassis

Directions: The hardest part of this cocktail is wrapping the glass with gauze to look like a mummy! After you've secured the gauze with double sided tape, simply pour the beer and the liqueur into the glass and give it a gentle stir. For extra points, garnish with a paper bat!

Variations: If you're not a fan of the sweet, dark, blackcurrant taste of créme de cassis, try other flavors like an orange or ginger liqueur. We like the cassis because of the dark color but you could also do a splash of Bloody Mary mix for a Michelada style cocktail.
