These are just some of the 30 unique flavors offered by Pinnacle Vodka.

If you’re looking for a new ingredient to spice up your cocktails, then many of these flavors are worth trying. They work on their own as well, and Pinnacle offers straight up 100 proof and original flavors if you don’t fancy getting too adventurous. But you seem more of the adventurous type. So, we thought you’d appreciate this little price guide.

The Pinnacle of Vodka?

Pinnacle is distilled in France and then shipped to the good ole USA to be flavored. It’s a combination of French experience in making a great tasting spirit, with American fun thrown into the mix.

The vodka is distilled five times, which means it doesn’t have the chemical aftertaste of cheaper vodkas. Quality ingredients are used to make it, including:

  • Natural spring water filtered through limestone.
  • Wheat grows in Northern France’s fertile soil and clay.

Pinnacle’s reputation is bolstered by a number of international awards. Between 2013 and 2017 alone, they’ve been awarded:

  • Top-Rated Vodka, 2013 by The International Wine & Spirits Competition.
  • Gold Medal, 2015: SIP Consumer Choice.
  • Another Gold medal in 2017 at the Beverage Testing Institute.

Okay, so now you know a bit about Pinnacle Vodka. The real question is, how much does it cost? And how does it stack up against other vodkas in the same price range?

Alternatives to Pinnacle

The vodka market is booming, so you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to vodkas in this price range. If you’re looking for an alternative to Pinnacle vodka, what we’d recommend comes down to what you’re looking for: Flavored or original?

Flavored Alternatives

Flavored vodkas tend to be an acquired taste. It’s best to experiment with them as it can take a while to find the aroma and notes which best suit your tastes. That being said, here are a few places you can start:

  • Effen Cucumber Vodka: Effen produces a range of flavored vodkas for a slightly more expensive price of around $18 - $26 for a 750ml bottle. A clean cucumber taste often used for classic cocktails.
  • Deep Eddy Ruby Red Vodka: Deep Eddy is another brand which makes flavored vodka similar to Pinnacle. Ruby Red is made with real grapefruit and distilled ten times. You can pick up a 750ml bottle for around $16.
  • Smirnoff Raspberry: Smirnoff has added a Raspberry grain vodka which is relatively clean in taste. A 1.75L bottle can be found for about $15.

Original Alternatives

Here are some non-flavored alternatives:

  • Russian Standard: It’s the highest selling vodka in Russia due to its price point and decent taste. Slightly more expensive than Pinnacle. You can pick up a 750ml bottle for between $16.99 and $20.
  • Menage a Trois Vodka: A triple filtered American grain vodka which is smooth and clean-tasting, with a slight note of citrus in places. It’s distilled 6 times and is available for around $16.99 for a 750ml bottle.
  • J. Rieger & Co. Midwestern Premium Vodka: This self-titled premium wheat vodka is easy on the wallet and the taste buds, though it’s slightly more expensive at around $20 - $25 for a 750ml bottle.

Have You Reached the Pinnacle?

Pinnacle vodka will be attractive for those on a budget. Not to mention if you want to try something a little different. I mean, habanero chilli flavored vodka, who doesn’t want to try that?

Have you tried Pinnacle vodka? If so, we’d love to hear from you in the comments. Did you enjoy it? What similar vodkas in this price range would you recommend?

  1. My wife loves the salted caramel in Apple cider. And the peppermint bark in hot coco, finally the country fair (cotton candy) is great in grape soda.
